Welcome to Room 123
Our Programs
Literacy Tutoring
Students in Grades 9 & 10 are paired with peer mentors who help students prepare for the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Tutoring sessions occur during MSIP and last about 15 to 30 minutes.
Course Help
Students may access the tutors and teachers in room 123 for help with their course work, including homework, projects, and studying for tests. Students are given appointments during their MSIP period so as not to interfere with in-course instructional time.
Credit Rescue
Students may be referred by their classroom teachers for help with their course work. Students receive help with organization, homework, completion of outstanding assignments and studying for tests. Students are given appointments during their MSIP period for small group or one-on-one assistance.
Credit Recovery
Upon the recommendation of their classroom teacher and approval by school administration, students who have not achieved all the expectations for a specific course can be given the opportunity to complete the outstanding expections in credit recovery. Upon successful completition of the outstanding expectations and approval by the principal, students will be granted the credit for the course. Extra help for completion of course expectations is given during a student's MSIP period.
